Dreaming - This is the part you’ve probably already been doing and it involves thinking about what you’d like in your next home. How much square footage do you need? How big would you like the garage? More urban or more rural?
I will help you solidify exactly what are your “must haves” and “deal breakers.”
Budget - Before going too far down the home buying road it is a smart move to look at how much money you are working with. This involves both savings on hand as well as how much you’ll be able to borrow.
I will help you find a lender that fits your financial situation and one that will offer the most buying power.
I will also go through all costs associated with buying a home so you have a clear financial picture of buying a new home.
Search – This is one of the more exciting parts of buying a home. You’ll search through listings of homes that meet your needs and visit potential dream homes.
I will use exclusive tools and resources I have as a Realtor® as well as my knowledge of the market to keep your search focused and to help you find that perfect home in a timely manner.
Offer - Once you’ve found that home you’ll make a legal offer. Once it is accepted a whole new process begins that is focused on buying that specific home.
I will share my insight and offer an objective viewpoint to help you make the right offer on the right home for you. This is a very involved final step of the home buying process and I’ll make sure you understand every part of the contract and make sure the process goes smoothly.
Inspection & Negotiations - A professional home inspector will go over the house from top to bottom looking for potential problems or legal issues. Based on that inspection you negotiate with the current owner to get things fixed, upgraded, or financially adjusted.
From picking the right inspector to making sure your needs are met in the negotiations, I’ll be there to give you confidence in this big step.
Closing – After the items found in the home inspection have been taken care of, all financial matters are in order, and documents are signed at the Notary’s office, I will be handing over the keys to you for your new home on Possession Day!
